Managing Director, Dash Ventures

Omar helped establish Dash Ventures in November 2011 where he currently works as an angel investor, advisor, and mentor to early-stage start-ups.

Prior to Dash, Omar was Venture Principal with IV Holdings, a pioneering Arab Venture Capital firm and wholly-owned subsidiary of Accelerator Technology Holdings, focusing on investments in early-stage technology ventures in the Online Services and Digital Media domains across the Middle East region. He serves on the boards of several start-up ventures and provides additional support to the entrepreneurial community via various mentorship programs including Endeavor and Oasis500.

Omar is a founding member of Middle East Technology Pioneers Exchange (METPE), a non-profit aimed at connecting high-impact technology pioneers in the Middle East region to their global counterparts in order to promote entrepreneurship, encourage cross-border partnerships, and facilitate knowledge exchange.

Omar has over 10 years of international work experience in the Finance and Banking sectors. He worked with Merrill Lynch in London and Dubai prior to returning to Jordan to join Capital Bank of Jordan as Vice President of its investment banking arm. He holds an MBA from Cass Business School (City University London) in the UK with a focus on strategy and entrepreneurship, and a double major BSc in Finance and Management from Tulane University in the US.
